CUSTOM TOPPERS

What can a topper do for you?

Coverage, volume & confidence.

Toppers do what traditional extensions can’t: they add hair on top where you need it most.

Extensions need enough natural hair to attach to and cover the installation. But what happens when the top of your head is exactly where you’re lacking?

A topper can help conceal thinning or balding, whether caused by age, alopecia, illness, medications, or other changes to your hair. They can also help disguise chemical breakage, a bad haircut, stubborn cowlicks, or unwanted gray.

And you don’t have to be experiencing hair loss to wear one. Toppers can also be used to add volume, introduce a little extra color or dimension, or even create bangs without making a permanent change to your natural hair.

How does a topper work?

A topper is 100% human hair hand-tied onto a lightweight mesh base, giving you the freedom to part it wherever you need coverage or volume.

It can be secured with small clips when you have enough natural hair for attachment, or adhesive when additional security is needed.

Because it’s real human hair, your topper can be washed, styled, cut, and colored just like your own hair.

Toppers come in a variety of base sizes, lengths, and densities, so we can customize your piece to give you exactly the amount of coverage and fullness you need.

Every topper is customized to you including:

• Color

• Length

• Density

• Base size

• Part placement

• Cut & blend

01 — WE CHAT

We’ll talk about what you’d like to change, where you’re looking for coverage or volume, your lifestyle, and what you’re hoping your topper will do for you.

02 — WE SEE WHAT WE’RE WORKING WITH

I’ll assess your natural hair, including your density, length, color, and scalp, to determine what type and size of topper will work best for you.

03 — WE FIND YOUR FIT

We’ll determine the right base size, length, density, color, and attachment method to create a topper that looks and feels like you.

04 — NO SURPRISES

Before you commit, you’ll know exactly what your topper will cost, what the process looks like, and what maintenance and upkeep will be required.

Do toppers require maintenance?

Toppers are extremely low maintenance, but they do require a little TLC from time to time to keep them looking and feeling their best.

WASH + DEEP CONDITION

Your topper should be washed as needed, depending on how often you wear it and your lifestyle. Because the hair is no longer attached to a scalp, it doesn’t receive your natural oils and can become dry over time. A deep conditioning treatment about once a month helps keep the hair soft, hydrated, and manageable.

REFRESH THE COLOR

Color fading is completely normal, especially with daily wear and more frequent washing. If needed, your topper can be professionally refreshed around every 6 months to keep the color looking fresh and seamlessly blended with your natural hair. This isn’t necessarily required on a set schedule, it just depends on how often you wear and wash your topper.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

With proper care, a quality topper can last 3+ years. Over time, normal wear and tear will cause the hair to gradually dry out and shed, just like any other frequently worn hairpiece. Eventually, the hair density and overall condition will tell us when it’s time for a replacement.

Every topper is custom colored by me, which can take several hours to several days to create the exact color and blend we’re looking for. Your investment includes the custom coloring, fitting, cut, and any complimentary adjustments needed within the first 2 weeks.

Small base — $500+

Medium base — $600+

Large base — $750+

Final pricing may vary depending on the specific piece we choose and amount of customization and color work needed.

As your topper is worn and washed, the color will naturally fade over time. When it needs a refresh, color maintenance is charged at my hourly color rate listed on my color services page.

Most topper color refreshes take approximately 1.5–2 hours and you’ll take your topper back home the same day.

For initial appointments, payment is split into two easy installments. A 50% deposit is due when you book, and the remaining 50% is due at the time of your appointment.

Need a little more flexibility? If splitting your payment into two installments isn’t quite what you need, I also offer flexible payment options through Cherry, Afterpay, Affirm, & Klarna.

What you’ll need at home:

Taking care of your topper doesn’t require a huge collection of products. I recommend having a few basics on hand:

Foam or cork mannequin head — for storing and styling your topper without putting unnecessary stress on the base.

T-pins — to securely hold your topper in place on the mannequin head while it’s drying or being styled.

Mannequin head stand — for attaching your mannequin head to

Deep conditioner — to help keep the hair soft, hydrated, and manageable between professional appointments.

That’s really it! Your topper is an investment, and proper storage and conditioning go a long way toward keeping it looking its best.
